2018.12.11 LIBRARY ORIGINAL LINE STICKER DESIGN AND VOTING ACTIVITY

 Activity: 2018-19 AY Library Week Activity: Library Original Line Sticker Design and Voting Activity 

Activity Purpose: Library Original Line Sticker Design and Voting Activity is held to encourage students to display their creativity and innovativeness and provide a chance for students to accumulate experiences. We welcome all students to create your own original sticker to express your mood or feelings based on your personal experiences in the Library.

Eligibility: MCU students who are matriculating toward a degree.

Organizer: MCU Library

1. Participation
   • With the library as the theme for creation, illustrate your mood or special feelings or different kinds of scenarios in the library.
   • There is no limit on the number of entries. A theme set should include 1 main sticker along with 8-16 different accompanying sticker images.
   • Work format
     • Method of creation is not limited; computer-aided or hand- designed/illustrated works are both accepted; but submission is limited to digital files only.
     • Sticker format: W370*H320 pixel, PNG or AI file. Hand-illustrated works should be scanned and the background digitally removed. Suggested resolution: 72 dpi or above. Color palette: RGB. The size of each sticker should be smaller than 1MB.
     • Finished work should be submitted in a file folder which contains the main sticker and other stickers; the folder should be uploaded to the designated platform before the deadline. Please upload your work at http://eform.mcu.edu.tw/node/1603(link is external) (link is external)
   • File naming method
     • File folder should be named with the designer’s name + contact number.
     • Main sticker: Named as “Main sticker_ Work title.”
     • Other stickers: Named as “Stickers_work title_1” (please number the stickers in sequence).
2. After uploading your work, please download “MCU Library Original Line Sticker Design and Voting Activity Registration Form” (link is external), complete the form and submit it to the front desk of the library to complete the registration procedure. A set of work should attached to one registration form on which creative concept and meaning of each sticker is described.

4. Evaluation
   • The 1st stage evaluation is a preliminary selection conducted by librarians to check if the work matches the topic.
   • Entries that go on to the 2nd stage will be selected through online anonymous voting, and the top 8 works with the highest votes will be the winners of popularity award. Prizes may not be conferred if the works are not up to standard.
5. Prizes

One 1st place Popularity Award: Prizes worth 2,000 NTD and a certificate.
One 2nd place Popularity Award: Prizes worth 1,500 NTD and a certificate.
One 3rd place Popularity Award: Prizes worth 1,000 NTD and a certificate.
Five Runner-up Popularity Awards: Prizes worth 200 NTD and a certificate.​

6. Notes
   1. Please download the registration form from the activity webpage or collect the form at the front desk of Library.
   2. The works must be students’ creation, and must not plagiarize other’s work or violate other’s copyright. Confirmed violations will result in the student being disqualified.
   3. The copyrights of all entries belong to the organizer - MCU Library. The moral right of each entry belongs to the entrant. An entry will be ineligible if it has been submitted to other contests.
   4. Submission of an entry will be deemed as the entrant agreeing to all stated rules. Uncovered matters will be notified by the organizer.
   5. The sticker format should meet the standards set by LINE; those which do not meet the format will be disqualified (Please refer to the following website for the format: https://creator.line.me/zh-hant/).
   6. The contents of the works shall not convey any messages that are libelous, pornographic, or obscene.
