MCU 2016 2nd Semester points to note: “Teaching Evaluation Procedure”
- Evaluation completion period:
Starting from May.8th,2017
- Evaluation purpose:
For instructors to gain more clear understanding of students’ needs as they prepare their courses and conduct their instruction, the university conducts a formal teaching evaluation each semester. In this way, the university and instructors can hear the students’ voices and feelings, as a reference for adjustments in course content and methodology. This semester’s evaluation is to be completed for every instructor and teaching assistant teaching during 2016-2017. 2 nd Semester.
- Notices:
a. Students can log onto the Student Information Network on Ming Chuan University homepage, click “Teaching Evaluation Questionnaire” to answer questions for each course, then “Submit”.
b. To avoid taking time of the class to process the Teaching Evaluation Questionnaire, students are required to complete the questionnaires on line.
c. All answers become part of a statistical report for the class. Teachers have no access to individual students’ responses, so there is no affect on teacher-student relations. Therefore students are asked to honestly, rationally and responsibly answer the items. We believe students have the maturity to provide constructive feedback that can boost teaching quality and effectiveness.
d. Students who wish to offer further comments on a course or instructor are welcome to write to the Academic Affairs Division “Comment Box.” The Curriculum Section will communicate the message to the instructor of your course.
