This coming year marks the 60th anniversary of Ming Chuan University. Ming Chuan University in Michigan is offering Anniversary Scholarship to all qualified MCU students and alumni, who enrolled in Master's degree program in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) or New Media and Communication Administration (CMA). This scholarship is awarded to fall and winter semester applicants in 2016-17 only, with a limited number. The number available is limited, and scholarship will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those who meet the English language requirement (a minimum score of 79 on the TOEFL iBT or 6.5 on the IELTS) are eligible to receive USD$3,084 worth of anniversary scholarship (worth up to TWD$100,000) in their last semester in either TCFL or CMA graduate program. This scholarship covers up to 6 credit hours of in-state tuition.
Students who present a minimum score of 60 on the TOEFL iBT or 5.5 on the IELTS are qualified to apply for conditional admissions. Conditionally admitted students are not permitted to enroll in degree courses until their English requirement is met before their second academic year of graduate study.
A new scholarship is also presented to encourage enrollment. A one-time, $500 registration scholarship will be awarded to each first-year student in fall 2016 after the first semester.
